Об альбоме

На видеоальбоме представлен материал, записанный во время концертов гастрольного тура Lights in the Sky в период с 5 декабря по 13 декабря 2008 года. Another Version of the Truth был выпущен на DVD, Blu-ray и в BitTorrent. Видеоальбом распостронялася бесплатно.

Nine Inch Nails планировали снять один из концертов тура Lights in the Sky в 3D-формате, под руководством режиссёра Джеймса Кэмерона. Однако из-за возникших разноглассий Трента Резнора с лейблом Interscope Records, проект был отменён^[1]. Но чтобы не расстраивать поклонников группы в декабре 2008 года Трент Резнор организовывает съёмку концертов в Портленде, Виктории и Сакраменто. Часть снятого материала Резнор выкладывает в BitTorrent в качестве «новогоднего/рождественского подарка» для фанатов^[2]. Через некоторое время участники группы решили выпустить отснятый материал как видеоконцерт. Составлением видео занимался арт-директор Nine Inch Nails Роб Шеридан. Первоначальным названием проекта было This One Is On Us (в пер. с англ. Это от нас), однако позже названием поменялось на Another Version of the Truth^[3].

18 декабря 2009 года вышел трейлер Another Version of the Truth^[4]. Позже стали известны даты релиза цифровых версий видеоальбома. Это 25 декабря 2009, 25 января 2010 и 25 февраля 2010. Релиз на физических носителях состолся в июне 2010 года.
